Dr Heather Knight BA MSc PhD
Hello! I am Heather Knight,
I am a community focussed research evaluator and educator with over twelve years experience working as a Lecturer in Education with a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion along with community development and creativity. I am passionate about creating inclusive environments that put participants’ voices at the heart of education, research and evaluation.
I have a strong research and evaluation background. I have worked with a variety of statutory and community organisations as a researcher and evaluator focussing on areas of education, inclusion and the role of the creative arts for personal and social development.
I am also an artist with a background in community work. I enjoy delivering community arts workshops and talks about the arts, creativity, community and inclusion. I have worked collaboratively bringing together the university and community organisations and facilitated the designing and painting of community murals with students and residents.


Areas of specialism
I have specialist knowledge and expertise in areas of equality, diversity and inclusion, along with community development, and creativity. I focus on personal, social, economic and educational development. I am passionate about working with arts, drama and theatre organisations along with education and community programmes, drawing on my expertise and experience of working in these fields as a researcher, evaluator, educator and artist.
