An independent evaluation of the Our Space programme, exploring participants’ insights and experiences following the introduction of new progressions routes.
Understanding Our Space: Participants and Outcomes. Phase one: Evaluation Report (2024). Theatre Royal, Plymouth. An independent evaluation of the Our Space programme, exploring participants’ insights and experiences.
Harman Technical Residency Evaluation Report (2024). Theatre Royal, Plymouth. An independent evaluation of the Harman Technical residency, which trained and prepared two theatre technicians for their first professional job and address a skill shortage in the industry. The report highlights the key characteristics, experiences and key messages arising from the evaluation.
Identifying Gaps for Accessing the Arts for and with People of Colour: Consultation report (2019). An independent report completed for Beyond Face CIC, Plymouth. Including an analysis of data collected across the Southwest of England from theatre and dance focussed organisations and venues, teachers and emerging artists and young people of colour.
Plymouth Children and Young People’s Workforce Development Team: Exploring Issues in Training and Development (2008-2010). Carried out over 40 interviews with members of the children and young people’s workforce. Analysed qualitative data. Designed survey, analysed quantitative data from over 100 survey responses across the children’s workforce. Wrote five research reports.

Doctoral thesis and dissertations
‘The Impact of Arts Approaches to Anti-racist School Practice in the Southwest of England’ (2018) This doctoral research explored the role of arts programmes for teaching and learning about anti-racist school practice. It found that the arts and drama can offer an alternative language and medium for engagement when exploring troublesome issues that may be difficult to engage with.
‘Lone Mothers on Welfare: Barriers to employment for Lone Mothers on Income Support, following Labour’s new ‘Welfare to Work’ policy proposal’ (2010). This master’s dissertation explored the voices and experiences and of lone mothers on welfare, including barriers to employment, aspirations and opportunities.
‘ARROW (Art a Resource for Reconciliation Over the World): An Emergent and Alternative Approach to Conflict Resolution and Community Cohesion?’ (2007). This dissertation explored young people’s experiences of participating in a global art for conflict transformation programme.
